The one word to sum up this movie is ' creepy '. A goofball that killed his horny mom & lover 4 years earlier is in a comatose veggie state & has been rotting in bed for 3 years now. He just lays there, never changes his expression the entire film. Sounds kinda boring & shitty (like his bed sheets), huh? Well, there is more to Patrick than meets the eye. He has developed telekinetic powers & it takes only the right person to bring it out. That being the new nurse, Mrs. Jacquard (pronouced jack-hard, & it made me laugh everytime someone called her name ' Nurse Jacquard, are you free? ' hahahah, I wish baby!). She finds that Patrick is a litttle more aware than what the doctors claim. She also becomes the object of his affections which causes her (actually, any men in her life) some weird troubles. Patrick uses his powers to communicate with Mrs. Jacquard and bother anyone trying to get a little on the side if ya know what I mean. Made me laugh when true to her name, nurse J finds out that there is one muscle that ole Patty can still get moving!heheheehhe. This movie has a cool meanacing feel to it and the camera angles helped out a lot. Directed by the same guy who did Roadgames & Psycho 2 and this is just as good as either of those movies. Not bloody or even violent really, it works on a different level of creepiness. Watching how her relationship with Patrick and his response to it change are kinda weird. As always noone believes her when she tells of Patrick's ability to communicate & respond. Even when the head nurse catches her red-handed so to speak under Patrick's sheets, ' Ahhh, you can feel this can't you ' it's just not enough. This movie's kinda rare now so if you've seen it or are able to, consider yourself lucky. It will stay with you.
