A young woman named Penny is travelling in a car with her psychiatrist (Mimi Rogers) in order to help her control her phobia of automobiles. Throughout the first ten minutes she has a few panic attacks. But that's nothing compared to what she goes through after they pick up a creepy hitch-hiker and he ends up killing the doctor. He then traps her in her car, taunting her.
This movie got off to a good start but midway through I was hitting the fast forward button, as it offered nothing new. And the whole idea of an escaped mental patient has been way overdone - in fact, it should never be used in a movie again!!
