Reggie becomes the hero in the second film of the series. While not nearly as cool as the first, the second coming of the Tall Man still makes for a fun nights entertainment. Our intrepid ice cream peddler and Mike trail our tall friend, trying to end his slave trading ways. The road is tough and long though folks, and filled with danger. The Tall Man has left empty graves and ghost towns in his wake, he awaits the boys with a scowl. Two has a hot chick along for the ride as well, but she's not what she seems. Never trust a woman in the Phantasm world. The FX are still cool, the story is good, and our old friends are all in fine form here. I doubt that there's anyone who hasn't seen this, if so, why? A decent follow up, but for me it had big shoes to fill and it does a fine job. Still, it doesn't have whatever magic the first did which made that film so special to me. I guess the first is the best, but you must see the rest. It's as good as can be for a film that wasn't needed.
