In 2030 a crew is finally sent to explore Mars. The Captain is Rick Erwin (Michael Riley of BEING ERICA, AND GOD SPOKE). There are three other men and two women crew members on board. But once they are on their way they're informed that the Chinese have launched their own ship and will beat them there. They come across some hardships, such as the ship malfunctioning due to shoddy parts, and one of them is injured when a landing strut breaks his leg.Although this is a low-budget Canadian series, the writing and acting more than make up for the passable special effects. While not quite as good as THE MARTIAN it's better than the Val Kilmer movie RED PLANET.
