This is a pretty decent Full Moon movie, about voodoo and revenge, although it's basically a forty-minute film padded with musical performances. When a local hip-hop band, led by seventeen year old Kwame, refuses to bow under the local thugs, the criminals put Kwame's grandmother in the hospital. Enraged, wanting revenge, Kwame delves into the dark side of magic and invokes The Shadowman (sort of like the devil) and he puts the power in to a rag doll, which has these large teeth and goes around killing the thugs one by one. Reminded me very much of that Zuni fetish doll from Dan Curtis' TRILOGY OF TERROR. Solid performances, good monster and interesting story.
