One day 3 Billion people appear out of thin air, dispersed across the planet. They are naked and have a glowing red light implanted in their chests. They claim to be refugees from the future and going back in time was the only way they could survive. That's all they are allowed to say or else they'll be taken away by the police force that also came with them. They are also forbidden to contact their relatives in this time period.
Samuel, Emma and their daughter, Ani, are a family out in the Spanish Countryside, near a small village, when one of these visitors, Alex, appears. He seems to have a specific agenda and doesn't have the glowing light in his chest. This is because he's a convict and was snuck into the "Exodus". His purpose turns out to be preventing the husband and wife's deaths because they are going to be murdered in a few days. Can he prevent it? And what are the repercussion of that?
This is an extremely interesting TV mini-series. The Spanish town works well as a microcosm for what's happening with the world and the characters are well defined. The two characters you like and hate the most flip-flop roles, so that by the sixth and last episode you're rooting for the person you hated in the first two. Highly recommended.
