Detective Sam Dietz (Leo Rossi) is after another serial killer, who is somehow connected to a woman psychiatrist (Famke Janssen of XMEN). The victims are all her clients and they are all killed in a ceremonial fashion. Dietz also has a new woman partner who likes him as more than a partner, though he's more interested in getting to know the psychiatrist. He's also having issues as a single father raising his son, which is stereotypical for these types of police dramas. Part 4 here is my least favorite of the RELENTLESS series.This movie does show, however, how much Janssen has improved as an actress the past decade.
