This begins where the previous movie left off, with the Umbrella Corporation troops converging on the massive ship Alice found herself stranded upon. She's captured and wakes up in a suburban home. She's married and has a young daughter. They are attacked by zombies. Alice discovers she's in an underwater testing facility that has recreated various urban scenarios--and it's filled with the different sorts of zombies. It's also populated by characters Alice has met in the previous movies--clones that are used for test fodder. This gives an excuse to have such actors as Michelle Rodriguez and Oded Fehr reprise their roles from the earlier installments. From the outside world a team is sent to rescue her while inside, the computer program, The Red Queen, send a mind-controlled Jill Valentine (Resident Evil: Apocalypse) to hunt her down. I didn't mind this sequel. It's clever enough that it's not irritating.
