In 2084 aliens are on the verge of exterminating the last remnant of mankind, who are hiding out in the mountains in Tibet. But just before they do so a young woman jumps through a time portal and ends up in 2002, three days before the first alien is to land on Earth. Her mission is to kill the first alien.When she first appears she's on a docked ship and caught in the crossfire between a vigilante and some bad guys. The vigilante kills everyone except the leader he's after and he ends up taking the girl home, as she's an innocent.She coerces him into helping her by placing this small explosive device on his neck-and he goes along with it, finally convinced what she says is real when he sees the alien.Eventually they realize that all is not as it seems-and the aliens might not be the real enemy after all. There is plenty of violent action, time paradoxes and quirky characters. Part TERMINATOR, part INDEPENDENCE DAY, RETURNER is familiar territory but done in such a way that you don't mind.
