This is a realistic look at a couple, Brad and Lexi, who deal with a terrorist attack on nearby Los Angeles. It all starts like a normal day. Lexi (Mary McCormack) goes off to work and he (Rory Cochrane) works at home. From the get go it's obvious he's p-whipped and he steadily becomes more whiney as the movie progresses. When there's reports on the radio that there have been explosions throughout the city, "dirty bombs" which are carrying various toxins, he panics and starts to drive out in search of her. But all the roads to the city are blocked and he's forced to turn around and go back home. There he encounters Alvaro, the neighbor's gardener, who seeks refuge in his house. They both seal up the house with duct tape and plastic sheets and listen to more "non news" about the event on the radio. Eventually Lexi shows up, bedraggled and wanting in but Brad refuses to let her in because she may be contaminated and contagious. This is basically an extended TWILIGHT ZONE episode with one of those "twist" endings.
