This is an interesting unaired pilot that was made, an update of the Irwin Allen 60's show. It takes place some years after a war with an alien species and starts with a dinner banquet in honor of John Robinson (Brad Johnson of PHILADELPHIA EXPERIMENT II) , a war hero who is moving his family to a planet called Nova. There is a Will Robinson, a young creative genius, and Judy-but no Penny. Instead, there is Judy's twin, David, who is at odds with his father. The Jupiter II is actually a huge life-pod, which is attached to the mothership that's on its way to Nova. Dozens of these pods are attached to the ship. On the journey they are attacked by those aliens-and John Robinson takes command, as he has the most experience. When the aliens storm the ship they release the life-pods and they are set free-only to be lost in space. The Robot is different looking than either the original series or the movie-and there is no Dr. Smith! Directed by John Woo.
