Adam (Kirk Douglas) and Alex (Farah Fawcett) are a couple who are stationed on one of the moons of Saturn that's used to grow agriculture for humans. They seem to have an idyllic life, until Benson (Harvey Keitel) shows up. He's unemotional and wants to have sex with Alex, which is not received well. The reason he's there is to put together a new worker robot, the first in line of the "Demigod" series. It's controlled by a human brain grown from an "unborn" and programmed with Benson's brain. This causes problems, as the android begins to desire Alex as well, to such an extent that it poses danger to all three humans. Also, it's a weird looking creature-with a human looking body and a small robot head that doesn't match the rest of it.
The movie seems to be influenced by both STAR WARS and ALIENS, which were released a few years earlier, though seems more more akin to a huge budget Roger Corman movie. It's weird, like GALAXY OF TERROR weird. It has great sets, high production values and an odd cast of actors for such a big budget B-Movie. Recommended.
