This reminded me of zombie movie DANCE OF THE DEAD but on a larger scale. Three scouts go on what is to be their last camping trip but this coincides with a zombie outbreak in their town. Of course it's up to the three misfits to save their classmates who are at a dance, unaware of what's going on in the town outside.
