The movie starts off with a prison transport van already crashed and the gang of prisoners escaping into the desert. They wander around a while and come to a house, where an American Indian taunts them about looking for some hidden treasure of gold. He tells them where to find there fortune - and rather than continuing to flee to the Mexican border they decide to pursue this folly. Yes, these characters are all very stupid.
They come across a Western era town that's frozen in time and it turns out they turn into zombies when the sun goes down. When the survivors finally come to the hidden gold they encounter the seven guardians, the reanimated "Mummies", which are dried out looking monks who vaguely resemble the Tempar Knights from TOMBS OF THE BLIND DEAD. Somehow these monks know karate and they fight. Yes, it does look very silly. There's also these rap songs in the soundtrack that do not fit the movie whatsoever. And don't get me going about all the extremely bad acting...
If you wish to see an example of "What not to do" when making a movie than this is a must-see.
