One of the better H.P. Lovecraft inspired movies, about an author investigating a haunted hotel as the subject of his new book. As he investigates the viewer goes back and forth in time, to see how the inhabitants of the hotel were affected by the building's strange construction. It was built in such a way as to drive people insane. Eventually the time-lines merge and the author and his assistant become the new casualties of the Shunned House. This is a very well shot, moody and creepy film, reminding me most of THE RESURRECTION or IN THE MOUTH OF MADNESS but on a much lower budget. Highly recommended. Released by Brain Damage Films.
