This is an unnecessary sequel, made six years after the first installment. Sharon gets drawn into the same dark dimension that took her mother in the first movie. Her father (Sean Bean) tried to protect them, by changing their names and moving from place to place, but it finally catches up to them. Now one her own, Sharon meets up with Vincent (Kit Harington of GAME OF THRONES), who wants to help her. She eventually finds out he's from that other dimension-and that his people, led by sinister Claudia Wolf (Carrie-Anne Moss) wants to use Sharon and her father in a ritual. Although I found some of the images creepy and the effects are great, I feel as if I saw all of this before....which I did.
