I've seen this film on TV plenty of times, but never really watched all the way through 'til recently. Damn if it's not a pretty decent film, maybe Gary Busey's best. Based on Stephen King's Cycle of the Werewolf, we get a lycanthropic preacher that's eating the local small town folks and generally being a nuisance. A paralyzed kid seems to be the only one with a clue, finally convincing his sister as well. Busey plays the good ole drunken uncle who's a damn trip. He also is finally convinced of the werewolf story and helps the two kids kill the reverend wolf, taking a royal ass whooping in the process. Lots of fun stuff here kids; the werewolf getting shot with a big bottle rocket, putting his eye out for good was funny. The new wheel chair Busey builds the kid, the silver bullet, is awesome and had me rolling. I guess the one low point here is the shitting looking creature. He looks more like bearwolf or werebear than a werewolf. However, the after death transformation back to a man is damn good. A couple of the werewolf stalking scenes turned out to be pretty good, as this wolf does some damage to the town, even killing a kid, something you don't see in many films. Needed more blood, but I still dug it. A fun movie most will enjoy
