Sin City (2005)

I waited for DVD to see this because of the overblown ad campaign and commercial saturation made me NOT want to see it. But I must say that this movie far exceeded my expectations. There's a fantastic cast, grim stories that come together non-linearly in PULP FICTION fashion, and a great look to the entire film. I've read many of the SIN CITY comics and this is probably as close you can get with a movie adaptation as possible. In the SIN CITY world men are MEN and all the women are either hookers or working in the bars those men frequent. I won't go in to any of the specific stories, but the character of 'Yellow Bastard' is one of the nastiest villains I've seen in a long while. If asked to describe SIN CITY in a nutshell, I'd say it is the ultimate film noir. » Search Database for Sin City (2005) Seen it?
