This sequel starts off a bit slow, though things quickly pick up after the first half hour. A woman (Shannyn Sossamon) shopping with her two young boys thinks someone is following her in a grocery store. He is. They flee. She's running away from an ex husband who wants custody of her sons and he keeps on sending private investigators after her. They are staying at an old Country house, where a murder happened. One of the boys begins to see ghostly children who lead him down into the basement. It's there they play old home movies on a projector. These films start off with a happy family event, like camping or Christmas Day-and ends with the family being killed in a horrible way, whether it be setting them on fire, freezing them to death in winter or being eaten by alligators in a swamp. An ex-police officer, doing investigations on some of these weird murders, befriends her and the kids. Soon, he begins to see the entity, Bughuul. The ghosts prefer to corrupt the younger brother but the older one, the bully, wants to be included, which causes some serious problems for everyone.
