This big-budget, overblown Hollywood movie downplays the "Snow White and the Seven Dwarves" story and funnels the character through Lord of the Rings and Braveheart territory. The Evil Queen (Charlize Theron) marries young Snow White's father, the King, after a battle with Evil forces and she stabs him on their wedding night. She's sort of like a vampire, needing to kill and feast on human hearts to stay young. She's in cahoots with her creepy brother, who has this bizarre haircut. Snow White is imprisoned until she's a young woman. This is when she escapes right before the Queen is to slay her--and she flees into the Black Woods, where the Queen's power does not work. So she sends in The Huntsman (Chris Hemsworth of THOR, AVENGERS) to find her and kill her. However, the two become allies. Yes, the dwarves are introduced and they are little warriors, not miners.
All in all, an extremely boring and unemotional movie, with a poor casting of Kristin Stewart as Snow White. Her monotone face and buck teeth are far too distracting. This film sucks.
