This movie is perfect for what it is-a fish out of water story. At the beginning of the film a six-year-old boy is abducted from his home by aliens. 25 years later we see 'men in black' pulling out the remains of an alien escape pod from the Chicago River. Then, we go to a grocery store where a very odd look man, dressed in alien-esque clothes, is working. He keeps on referring to the manager as his commander. Through flashbacks we see that he is that young child, raised by aliens to be a killing machine. After he gets fired from the grocery store for assaulting a shoplifter he seeks out employment as a hired hitman after he reads about what hit-men do. But in the process he has the hit-men after him and has to deal with that. Then there are those men in black who simply want to dissect him and everyone associated with him. There's also the girl in the apartment next door who he starts dating-and she realizes that he is indeed from outer space.Almost all the humor comes from the timing and performances of the actors-it's utterly hilarious, much better than John Sayle's BROTHER FROM ANOTHER PLANET. In fact, one of the better movies I'm seen this year, period!
