Jim is a sleep deprived physicist who invents a time-machine by creating a wormhole. In order to prove that it works he needs to open a portal on the other side, but needs a specific radioactive, and extremely hard to get, substance to make this happen. He gives a demonstration to his investor, Klaus Meisner (Michael Ironside), who is not impressed when the whole thing seems to blow up. Afterwards, though, Jim finds out that something had been transported back to them--a flower. Soon after, he meets Abby outside his building and she's not what she seems. Even though there are lots of multiple trips, different realities and Jim inadvertently creating many copies of himself, this still remains the most boring time travel movie I've ever seen. But the time travel aspect did work-it made the minutes seem like hours.
