It's been a year since the last animated Teen Titans movie (Justice League vs. Teen Titans). In that time they have a new member, Tara Markov, akaTerra, a young woman who can move the Earth with her abilities. Although they've welcomed her and put up with her constant moodiness she still tries to keep apart from them. Nightwing has recently returned to the group and he and Starfire decide to move in together. Beast Boy has a crush on Tara, Blue Beetle continues to deal with his abilities, Damian, the new Robin, is still a little a-hole, and Raven continues to keep to herself until a key moment. The villains here are Deathstroke and Brother Blood.
This is an interesting update of the tale first presented in the 80's Teen Titans run, as the team roster is quite different (there was originally Wonder Girl, Raven, Starfire, Cyborg, Robin/Nightwing and Beast Boy). Fortunately, the story remains basically the same, with surprising revelations about Terra and how it affects the team. It also works well with the PG-13 rating. Highly recommended.
