In the near future, after some disaster that changed the environment, mankind is reduced to living in caves. A young group of explorers leaves their home--and come upon one of the old cities. But a storm strikes...and they wake up inside, befriended by an unusual couple who introduce them to drugs, rock and roll and sex. It turns out these two aren't really what they seem--they are genetically altered to survive in earth's hostile environment...and they are experimenting on these teens to see if any of them will adapt as well. Most of them don't--they explode!In the end, the creatures reveal their true form--hulking, mutated monstrosities... very weird, claustrophobic movie.
