A shuttle crew, in orbit about the Earth, pass through a strange fog which contains many small meteors. One of the astronauts gets one of these micro-projectiles imbedded in his arm. At first he's okay but then he starts getting sick. He soon dies but not before a cloud of strange moths emerge from him. They were using him as an incubator. What these creatures then do is take over people, who then develop distinct insect characteristics like an extra pair of large insect arms which they can kill with. Of course they want to increase their numbers and take over the planet but a group of scientists try to prevent that from happening? Do they succeed? Do we care? This scenario has been used so many times in sci-fi movies and literature that it's WAY beyond being a genre cliche. One interesting thing, though, is that TV Writer/producer Stephen J. Canell has a cameo as one of the possessed people.
