The nine half-hour episodes of this show are simply brilliant. Patrick Warburton (Putty from SEINFELD) portrays the blue avenger who fights crime alongside his sidekick Arthur, Captain Liberty and BatManuel (Nestor Carbanell of LOST). Arthur was previously an accountant, before he succumbed to 'the calling' and donned the costume of a white moth. Everyone thinks he's Rabbit Man because his costume's antennae look like long skinny rabbit ears. Captain Liberty (Liz Vassey) is a ballbuster who resembles the Statue of Liberty and Batmanuel is a hispanic version of everyone's favorite caped crusader. In one episode they must deal with the unlikely death of Mr. Invincible, who dies while having sex with Captain Liberty. Another show addresses the homosexual nature of a 'Dynamic Duo', featuring Ron Perlman in a different sort of role.
I think this show was about ten years ahead of its time. As a superhero spoof it's funnier than MYSTERY MEN or THE SPECIALS. What really makes it, however, is Warburton's deadpan, earnest performance - and those continually moving antennae.
