Although it's morbidly fascinating to see how they messed up the original source material of THE WIZARD OF OZ, this is blasphemous to the classic film. It's also boring.
They have to save the queen, which turns out to be her real mother, and the evil witch now in control of the country, Azkedelia, is her older sister. She's able to have the flying monkeys come out of her breasts. DG (the Dorothy character) has three travelling companions who are vaguely like the Scarecrow, the Cowardly Lion and the Tin Man, though have none of their charm.
The worst thing about this mini-series is it takes the fun out of THE WIZARD OF OZ. For Godsakes, they made the munchkins into resistance fighters!
