A time-travel movie very much influenced by THE TERMINATOR. In the future people calling themselves Bridgists rule society. According to their belief system everything must be done for the good of society-and individual freedoms are suppressed. Two rebels (one who has a German accent like Ahnold), who desire freedom, steal a time travel device and take one of the small spaceships back in time, to the 1990's. Of course, the Bridgists send a group of their own-prisoners who are given little choice but to complete the mission. If they don't complete their agenda they'll be killed.It turns out that the rebels are trying to kill a man name Bridges, who wrote the self-help book that this future society is based upon. If they kill him then the Bridgists will never exist.Will they succeed? Will the Bridgist group change their minds and help the rebels, since they don't like their society, either?TOTAL REALITY is a decent enough time travel movie, no worse than TIME COP.
