This is one of the best Halloween themed movies out there. Four different stories interconnect on Halloween night. It begins with a couple (Leslie Bibb of IRON MAN and Tahmoh Penikett of DOLLHOUSE) pulling down their Halloween decorations after all the neighborhood kids have gone through--which may not be a good idea. There's a girl, Laurie (Anna Paquin of TRUEBLOOD), who is reluctantly going out partying with her older sister (Lauren Lee Smith of MUTANT X). Her costume is Little Red Riding Hood, which turns out to be very ironic. There's a story about a group of kids who go down to the bottom of a haunted quarry, where a busload of "special" kids drowned long ago. And there's the mild-mannered neighbor who likes to kill people. And the spirit of Samhain appears as a very real character. The stories are presented in a non-linear fashion, which keeps you guessing as to how they all fit together, but the payoff for each of them is great. This anthology that's up there with CREEPSHOW, the original TALES FROM THE CRYPT movie.
