An interesting take on a familiar story. The doctor (Paul Massie), trying to find a way to reveal man's hidden personality, succeeds in releasing his own alter-ego, Edward Hyde. But instead of outwardly resembling a monster, Hyde is a handsome playboy who has no morals. Dr. Jeckyll's wife, resentful of being married to a scientific recluse, seeks solace in the hands of his best friend, portrayed by Christopher Lee-and when Jeckyll turns into Hyde, Hyde attempts to have an affair with her as well, creating a weird triangle (quadrangle?). One of the more engaging versions of the Jeckyll/Hyde story. This movie was originally released in the U.S. as HOUSE OF FRIGHT. Directed by Terence Fisher.
