This begins with vampire Selene and her love-interest, the hybrid werewolf/vampire Michael about to take off in a boat, presumably to a safe haven. But the boat explodes. She dives in the water to save Michael but is knocked unconscious. She wakes up over a dozen years later in a lab, in a deep freeze unit. She escapes--and at first thinks that Michael has also escaped, since she can "see" from his perspective. What she finds instead is a twelve-year old girl, who is also a hybrid. Who is she? It's pretty obvious.
Also, the world knows about the existence of vampires and Lycans. Both monsters are in hiding and the werewolves are all but extinct.
This is a disappointing, unnecessary sequel, completely constructed around the fact that actor Scott Speedman didn't reprise his role as Michael. The entire story hinges on this unseen character. Also, The 3-D version is along the lines of CLASH OF THE TITANS--it sucks. There's only one good scene of a monstrous werewolf head coming out of the screen. And anytime they give a main character a child-- it's boring. Do not awaken for this movie....
