A group of medical interns, for the first time working with a cadaver, start having problems when strange things start to happen. First, the fiance' of one of the doctors mysteriously bleeds to death after touching the corpse. Then, the one woman doctor in the group, Allison Blanchard (Corri English), starts having the weird feeling that a spirit is responsible for the mysterious goings on. Other people begin to die as well. It turns out that it is indeed the corpse responsible, as the body once belonged to an archeologist who was uncovering some ancient ruins in Brazil. She was possessed by the angry spirits and killed herself. Now, those spirits still want to kill.
The setting alone for this movie is creepy and first-time director Jason Todd Ipsin builds up the suspense by not showing us too much of what's going on. UNREST is quite an effective horror movie.
This is part of the "Eight Films to Die For" series that was at theaters in mid 2006.
