This cannibals on the rampage video lensed in Montreal is an extremely gory film that hearkens back to the classics of the gore film-- TEXAS CHAINSAW and I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE. The film starts off with a bang-a young partygoer brings a girl home to his apartment and after they have sex all her 'Friends' show up in the apartment and proceed to dismember-and EAT him after she cuts of his vital organ! The fetus eating sequence in the film is probably one of the nastiest-and politically incorrect-scenes put into a movie in a long time! Although the special effects are extremely well done and the casting of the cannibal troupe is right on, the subplot involving an extremely stereotypical detective brings the film to a grinding halt several times. All his dialogue is cliched and you never believe for a moment that the 60-something actor is a jaded investigator.
