Why in the hell am I writing about this you wonder? I have tended to shy away from talking about late 90's new millennium slasher films, but this one had a couple of things to like. For one, Denise Richards is hot and plays the slightly slutty friend here. For two, the whole cast is hot and eye candy tastes good. Three, there aren't enough Valentine's day horror films, so this helps losers like me kill time on happy holidays for lovers. Fourthly, it's nice to see the killer get away. Okay, this movie isn't great, but it's overly simple formula and the fact that it pokes fun at itself throughout was kinda fun to me. You know this movie after 10 minutes. You keep watching 'cause of the chicks. It has some blood, but not much, so don't expect it. Does it stand out from the rest of the modern day slashers? Hmm, not much, but a little due to the fact that it doesn't pretend to be anything other than what it is...a cheesy slasher film that takes place on V-day. It was based on a Tom Savage novel me thinks. Anyone read it?
