The army creates a mutant form of rattlesnake that carries with it a deadly virus fatal to humans. They escape and ten years later have greatly increased in number. In a small desert town, which is suffering aftershocks of an earthquake, people start dying of a strange illness. Local doctors figure out what's going on but there are those in the Army who don't want anyone to know about the snakes or that particular experiment. So it's a race against time to not only find a cure for the virus but to stop the army before they nuke the town. This movie definitely has aspects of films RATTLERS (government creating crazy snakes) and RATTLED (USA cable movie about snakes driven out of the ground by earthquakes). But not a bad killer animal movie.
