John Saxon and Tim Thomerson are after a soldier who has been infected with a werewolf virus. This is a loner/wanderer by the name of Jake Gabriel. Gabriel and his fellow soldiers were attacked by werewolves in the Middle East, though all these other soldiers, particularly the women, are evil. Gabe is different--he's able to control the compunction to kill. I didn't have a problem with the script at all, except for the werewolf parts. Any type of generic monster could have been substituted for the "creatures".
The make-up effects are terrible. For the first hour and a half it's just contact lenses, long nails and lots of teeth. Then it's rubber wolf noses and dark makeup, which looks kind of ridiculous on the women werewolves.
There has been too many lame werewolf movies lately (ANIMALS, anyone?).
