Mike Franks (Johnathon Schaech of QUARANTINE) and his wife and ten-year-old daughter stay at the house of his late grandmother. She had just died and they've come for her funeral.
The daughter is terrified of this painting of George Washington that's in the basement and accidently knocks it over, uncovering a note that was hidden in its corner. The note, written by "GW", talks about eating children. Then, after he mentions this to an old friend of his grandfather's, he's chased by a guy on horseback the next day--and then a guy dressed up in a powdered wig and revolutionary clothes comes pounding on the door. Mike contacts a history professor, Harkinson (Saul Rubinek) and he reveals that these guys are The Washingtonians-- a modern day cannibalistic society that follows a tradition started by George Washington, who was really a killer and cannibal.
This is creepy, particularly all these insane guys dressed like Washington, complete with the wooden teeth. If felt, though, that the "happy ending" kind of undead the dread of the piece and was too easily resolved.
