Jess Franco's answer to the cannibal sub genre is a fuckin' hoot! Lot's of nudity, slo -mo cannibal gut munching, & a one armed ass kickin father make for a 90 minute vapor lock you won't soon forget! I was amazed at what good English the cannibals spoke after they got the 1st few hoola hoola hooky doola's out of the way. & Of course they worshipped some naked white chick as their queen (kinda like I did my Heather Thomas poster as a kid). Now the cannibals themselves were funny to me, as they didn't look all that South American, or Polynesian. Kinda looked like old Jess rounded up some drunks off the streets of Spain & gave 'em a weeks worth of hooch $ to help out. The naked women made up for it for me though as they tend to do in any of Franco's flicks. Not as gory as I had hoped, but not bad either. The shame of getting your ass kicked by a 1 armed man in front of your cannibal buddies must have been hard to swallow though. I guess he'll be in charge of dinner! A must see for cannibal film fanatics, if only to solidify the godly status of Cannibal Holocaust!
