When a young jewel appraiser comes across an ancient gem, she unwittingly releases and age old evil force, The Djinn. This creature confiscates a human body to disguise his true form so that he may freely roam the streets and claim souls. He stalks they one who freed him in hope of forcing her to make three wishes. Upon the granting of the third wish, a portal will open between hell and Earth (not Detroit) which will allow the demons to come forth and rule the planet. This genie is not your run of the mill Barbara Eden, hell no. He goes around giving wishes and then twists the wishes to his own benefit. This film has some great acting, tons of gore and more cameos than you can shake your bloody stump at.
