Two friends, who micro-brew beer and sell it locally, accidently run over a cat with their car. It has the address on the collar, so they go to that address and tell the old woman what happened. We recognize her as a witch from the opening scene. Her coven had killed a young boy in the neighborhood after he did a practical joke. This old witch is pissed--and puts a curse on their beer. We then find out that the dead cat has transformed back into one of the witches we had seen earlier. And now they need a new body to transfer her spirit into.
The movie follows two stories-- what happens to individuals who drink the beer and the witches procuring a new body for their sister. There are quite a few memorable scenes, such as when one guy vomits and craps out his intestines and another guy transforms into a werewolf. Eventually the tales merge when the witches transfer the dead woman's spirit into the ex-girlfriend of one of the friends, which does not end well for anyone.
WITCH'S BREW is a well-written and produced indie film with a good sense of humor.
It reminds me of a really good Troma movie, if Troma made good movies.
