A caveman-looking woman runs through the woods. There's lots of slow motion and repetitive action, which gives this all a surreal, "artsy fartsy" feel. She's injured and takes refuge in a wolf den.. Although it's not shown, it's alluded to that she kills them--and then goes to sleep. Then, we're introduced to a stereotypical--and dysfunctional--suburban family. The father likes to hunt and discovers this wild woman living in the nearby woods. He then goes home and forces his family to clean out the basement. Why? Because he wants to capture her...
This is just a disappointing movie, hard to believe it's directed by Luck McKee and co-scripted by Jack Ketchum. I guess it's supposed to be a sequel to THE OFFSPRING. My main problem is that I had such a hard time looking at Pollyanna McIntosh (THE OFFSPRING) as The Woman, she's so damn homely.
