This is a throwback to those mutant human movies of the 70's and 80's like THE HILLS HAVE EYES and HUMONGOUS. A guy gets stuck in traffic, tries the shortcut through West Virginia and gets in an accident with a group of people camping. They're also lost. They try to get help and stumble upon an old, run-down looking house. No one is home, so they go inside to look for a phone and instead find human body parts simmering on the stove. Before they can leave the denizens return-and they're inbred insane mutations with lumpy heads and cleft palates. One by one they're killed off until only the guy and Eliza Dushku (Faith from BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER) are left.WRONG TURN didn't add anything new to the genre and it's exactly what you expect it to be. Which is exactly what I wanted.
