In this made-for-television movie Larry Sullivan (Timothy Hutton) is a CIA agent recruited to a special task force when a deadly virus is released by terrorists on a cruise ship. It's 100% fatal. He finds out he was selected because the CIA needs info from his reclusive Uncle (Lane Smith of V: THE ORIGINAL TV SERIES). This guy knows who created this man-made virus, which is a cross between ebola and influenza. He agrees to help the government and brings in a Russian colleague, Yuri Zenkovsky, to track down the culprits. Things get complicated when Sullivan's nurse wife wants to help the patients that are overcrowding her hospital. This is a somewhat typical "Deadly Disease" movie, though it's a bit weird seeing something that takes place before Sept 11, 2001.
