Well, compared to the previous two movies this installment is lackluster. Sure, the effects are fantastic and we see more of our favorite mutants such as Shadowcat and Colossus but considering what it was about-the potential eradication of all mutants-it simply didn't satisfy the potential. In fact, one of the first scenes in the movie is Storm, Wolverine, Shadowcat and Colossus fighting a Sentinel in a ruined landscape, with crumbled buildings and crushed cars all about, like in one of the TERMINATOR movies. If the end battle between the humans, Brotherhood of Evil Mutants and the X-men had that intensity it would have been far better than the underwhelming finale we're treated to. Also, major characters are killed off without provoking much emotion in the viewer, which I thought was weird.
If you enjoyed the other two X-MEN movies you'll like this but will probably find it lacking.
