A plan, carrying a college football team and their girlfriends, crashes in the Himalayas, which looks more like Colorado than anything else. Most of the team survives. However, they have landed near the cave where the local Abominable Snowman lives, which does not turn out well for most of them. However, only after a day or so one of the overzealous teammates, who has obviously watched ALIVE! one too many times, starts cutting up the corpses and is convinced they have to start eating their fallen companions. Never mind that they easily managed to shoot a rabbit and there's obviously some game around, as they are still in the tree line, not so high up in those mountains. The guy is a wishful cannibal!
There is also a subplot involving a two-person rescue team, one of whom is Peter DeLuise (SEAQUEST, CHILDREN OF THE NIGHT).
As for the creature itself, it's truly one of the lamest Yeti/Sasquatch renditions I have ever seen. It looks like a mangy goat-man, rather than an ape-man, and the CGI does not match up with the live-action monster. It's goofy. I think the Yeti is supposed to be some type of alien, as it only has three big fingers on each hand. Or maybe they just didn't have the budget for a few extra digits.
