The tag line on the video box for this movie says 'Citizens of Earth Beware...' which is more advice for renting out this movie than anything else. Aliens put the planet to a test by awakening a two hundred foot tall rubber monster and selecting as his opponent a guy named Tommy Ward, who is 'the most average human on Earth'. Although the monster wrecks havoc across the country in its search for this human, there are no people in any of these shots--just miniatures of mountains, buildings, etc. When some huge action sequence takes place it's usually not even shown--it's talked about by newscasters on television who 'oooh' and 'ahhhh' about it with unusually bad acting skills. After lots of talking about what's going on the big confrontation finally happens--and it's a big letdown because it's an entirely obvious way to end this cheap ass flick. If you're looking for a giant monster fix rent out those old Godzilla movies--compared to ZARKORR! they'll look like THE LOST WORLD.
