Via newscasts, we are told about a new blue drug called "Natas" (get it, Satan spelled backwards?), highly addictive, that is sweeping the country. A side effect is that it transforms people into zombies. We skip a year to a post-apocalyptic world where a Mad Max type guy known only as "Hunter", kills zombies. He frequently stares at an old photo of his deceased wife and kid. He hasn't seen another human in over half a year--until he flips his car and is taken to a human encampment, led by a tattooed priest, Jesus (Danny Trejo). They are attacked by zombies, he has to protect them and redeem himself, blah blah blah. And the zombie makeup is adequate, though only their faces are made up to look rotten. I guess covering their necks and hands with makeup wasn't in the budget. This movie adds absolutely nothing to the zombie genre.
